More Grocery Savings...

There is a new web site that allows you to attach the coupons to your Sooper Card! It is free. You simply go to www.shortcuts.com/save and register your Sooper Card. Pretty fancy!!! And thank goodness. I hate standing in the store sorting through all of my coupons with two kids.

And the last thing that we participate in is Share Colorado. Share Colorado is for everyone of every income level...but it helps provide food for the less fortunate. Can you tell that I am looking in every nook and cranny to save some money on these darn groceries?

Way over the insane grocery prices?

So am I!!! So I am trying something new out. I am just a few weeks into it so I am not to sure how it is going to work or not. But it is called the Grocery Game. I am going to try it for 12 weeks to see if it really works or not. I have two girlfriends at work that live by it for their groceries. If you sign up please let them know that I referred you (I will get free weeks). Happy shopping!

Haley is mobile!

Seven months old this past Sunday (5/25) and is a moving machine. She is crawling pretty early for her age. My mom said she is the first baby in our family to actually crawl. Like Caleb, all of us army crawled, so to speak. Haley looks like one of those dolls you would buy at the toy store that crawl. She is much happier now that she can go steal the toys from Caleb that he playing with :) I will post pictures of her crawling at a later time.

Thank you Jon and Kate plus 8!!!

Has anyone ever watched Jon and Kate Plus Eight on TLC??? Well Caleb and I were watching it Saturday morning. It is the episode where Kate is potty train the three boys of the sextuplets. As we were watching it, Caleb decided he wanted to wear big boy underwear and go potty in his big boy potty chair. And Hallelujah!!! It is working!!!!!!! Caleb is about 85% potty trained. We have had just a few accidents. But he has already transitioned to going "pee" in the big white toilet. When he is done going potty he tells the "pee" or in rare cases the "poopy" that he is sending it to the ocean (flushing it down the toilet). And then proceeds to tell it to have a good day. His little arms are full of Cars (the movie) stickers and he got his very own banana split for going "poopy" in the toilet the first time. I have been changing two little kiddos diapers everyday for the past 7 months and paying $30 per week per kid for diapers (or close to) and now I can scratch $30 per week off my grocery list. It feels so surreal. And yet the nut in me is a little sad that Caleb is truly no longer a baby. It is officially over :(

$7496.83

That is the total that our little team "This One Is For Caleb" raised for the Great Strides walk for Cystic Fibrosis!!! The walk was beautiful today. It was so nice out and the kids were so good. Caleb was at the age where he can participate in some of the festivities at the walk. He had a dinosaur air brushed on his arm, he ran about 100 miles, he danced, and he ate. It was a lot of fun. Thank you to our amazing team this year. This was one of the funnest years yet. We look forward to seeing all of you next year. I will be posting pictures later as I get them (we forgot our camera in the car...can you believe it?!).

Our CF walk is this Saturday!

GET EXCITED!!! I am! Our team has completely blown me away this year. Our goal was $4,000. With the economy not being at its best I thought that we would never make that goal. Last week we had a little over $1,000 raised. This week we are at almost $4,000!! And AND! Gap Inc. is going to match us up to $2500!! So that means that we have raised over $6,000.!!! Isn't that amazing. It is amazing that when so many people are struggling financially that God still provides. We are steps closer to a cure for Caleb. I am faithful in knowing that one day CF will stand for Cure Found and not Cystic Fibrosis.

Mother's Day

Happy VERY belated Mother's day to all the Mom's. We had a very nice Mother's day. We went to brunch with my Mom and the entire clan at Cinzettis. It was super yummy! It always cracks me up that they let kids like Caleb eat for free because he is 2 years-old when he eats like a grown man! Seriously, that little guy can put away some food. But that is very good for him considering he needs a ton of calories, protein, carbs, and good fat in his diet every day. Whenever he gets sick his Dr always tells us to make sure and call if he stops eating...mine and Shane's response to that-if he stops eating we will be rushing him in the ER!! Sadly, a lot of CF patients really struggle with failure to thrive. We have been blessed that our "heavier" genes have been passed onto him :)

On a more serious note. I love Mother's Day. Not because it is about Mom's-but because I am who I am because of my kids. There once was a day when I could not imagine what I would be like with having a child of my own. Then Caleb came along. It was shortly after I had him that I could not remember or imagine what my life was like without him nor could I fathom (I am not sure if that is the correct spelling) loving another child as much as I love Caleb. Then Haley joined our family. And now...I can't imagine what it was like without her and seeing her interact with Caleb. And how my heart can love another baby just as much as my first baby. Love is an amazing thing that God has given us. I love to love my babies. I love being their Mommy. My life was so empty before we had them and I did not even know it.

GO ROCKIES!

This past Saturday my work sent everyone to the Rockies game against the LA Dodgers. Not to brag...but our kiddos were so good. I could not believe it. We got there about an hour early because my work had provided dinner for everyone and the kiddos made it until the top of the 6th inning. Even then the only reason why we got up to leave was because we needed some diapers changed and once we left our seats we were not going back. Caleb loves going to the Rockies games. This is the 2nd time he has been and both times he has been so excited and so good. He only asks for cotton candy! We are going to try to go to another Rockies game before it gets too hot outside. Caleb does not do well in really hot weather. It causes him to lose too much salt. Rockpile tickets $4 - cheap date with my 2 yr old if you ask me :)

Haley is 6 months old!

Can you believe it?!! She already has two teeth and is trying so hard to crawl. She had her 6 month well-baby visit this past Friday. She is in the 50th percentile for height and weight. She weighs 16 lbs 2 oz. Poor baby had her 6 month shots on Tuesday. But that was it until she turns 1. Time is going by so fast. She is eating stage 2 baby foods like a champ and has transitioned to formula very well. Did I mention she has been sleeping through the night since she was about 4weeks old? Yup! Sounds like a pretty easy baby huh! Don't be fooled...she has attitude like you have never seen before :) But we love her to death!
