Meet and Greet

Well Caleb met his preschool teachers today, Miss Sophia and Mrs Carol. I can't believe he is going to be in preschool. Tuesdays and Thursdays my little buddy will leave me for two hours. I am not sure if I am sad or not. I know he is going to love it for sure. He won't be the kid that cries when I drop him off, rather he will be the kid that cries when I pick him up :) Honestly, on a more serious note...I am nervous for his health. His CF doctor really encouraged him to start preschool this year to get his system to build more antibodies. Caleb has never been in daycare and in the winter we keep him pretty close to home (we miss a lot of Sunday school). But he is going to thrive, I know he will. Have I told you that Caleb's new word is "argumentative". Seriously, it is his new word. Caleb has never had a physical temper tantrum-but the young man will argue with you until you are BLUE in the face. So I called him Mr. Caleb Argumentative N. one day and ever since he tells me "I mam not (notice the "mam") argumentative Momma". Ironic that he would ARGUE with me :) Gotta love that child.

Caleb also had his first soccer meeting. Yup he is going to play soccer this fall. He is going to be a busy man. For the sake of his energy level, I wish soccer was more like 5 days per week instead of just one day per week.

She is WALKING!!!

Can you believe it!?!?!? I can't! But Haley started walking last Thursday (Aug 14th). I had just gotten home from a doctor's appointment and my Mom had been watching the kids for me. Shane was home for lunch as well. Haley stood up (bottoms up first of course) and my Mom asked Haley to come to her. And but of course Haley took 3 steps to my Mom. I am so thankful that Shane and I were both home to witness her first steps. Haley will be 10 months old on 8/25. HA! She walked at 9months. She also waves bye bye and shakes her head "no" when I tell her "no-no".
One of my girlfriends told me I always have Haley looking like a little doll. She is my princess. For those of you who have girls...you never told me how much fun they are to dress and do their hair. I am so blessed to have a boy and a girl. When I was pregnant with Haley I was so afraid I would not love her as much as I loved Caleb. But it is true...the very moment that Haley took her first breath in this world my heart grew another wing. I love her just as much as Caleb. They each have their very own place in my heart that no one else could ever fill.

A fresh start

Well, it has been awhile since I last updated my blog. I am always surprised by the number of people who tell me they read my blog. I tend to think that I am just writing to myself.

The last couple of weeks have been emotional. I am not going to go into any details...I just don't think it is appropiate for my blog. I will say that when Shane and I said our vows I will never forget our Pastor told us that life will take us places we never dreamed we would be. Isn't that so true. We never thought God would bless us with a wonderful son who would need some extra TLC. That was just a place I never thought we would be...it was a complete blow to our world when we got Caleb's diagnosis. On the same token...Caleb is more than I ever thought I would be blessed with. I did not ever think I was worthy of such a wonderful child. I thank God for giving us Caleb and trusting that we would take care of Caleb and teach him about God. Shane and I had another curve ball come across our paths in the last couple of weeks. During each curveball I see how our marriage grows stronger and closer to God than further apart. I can tell you that today is a fresh start! Hence, for the new layout :)

Haley's 9 month pics

These are some of Haley's 9 month pics. We tried a new studio. I was not completely impressed...but some of them did turn out pretty cute.
